Just before 3:30 a.m. Thursday, police pulled up to the Tim Horton’s on Patterson Road. Contrary to the stereotype, they were not there to eat.

They had been called after a customer confronted an employee over the restaurant’s lack of sprinkle doughnuts.

Unless you were fortunate enough to be working for Nat at the Peach Pit, there were no tolerable food service uniforms in the 1970s, 80s or 90s. For generations of high schoolers, bad uniforms in the fast food industry were a serious motivator to get good grades and stay in school. Assuming you didn’t do something crazy like pick a philosophy major, college was your best chance to avoid wearing one of these.
