Unless you were fortunate enough to be working for Nat at the Peach Pit, there were no tolerable food service uniforms in the 1970s, 80s or 90s. For generations of high schoolers, bad uniforms in the fast food industry were a serious motivator to get good grades and stay in school. Assuming you didn’t do something crazy like pick a philosophy major, college was your best chance to avoid wearing one of these.

This year a Nashville location of White Castle is accepting reservations for Valentine’s Day for the first time, but to other locations, including one in Murfreesboro where White Castle splits a building with a gas station, a candlelit Valentine’s dinner is not only old-hat, it’s wildly popular.

Man gets day in jail for throwing taco at manager

An Alaska man who hit a Taco Bell manager in the face with a double-decker
taco has been sentenced to one day in jail and one year probation. Warren
Strickland of Fairbanks must also pay a $100 fine after pleading guilty
Tuesday to disorderly conduct.
The 31-year-old says he threw the taco because it contained spit after he
went through the drive-thru twice because the restaurant messed up his
order. He claims the manager accused him of lying to get free food.
Strickland is barred from Taco Bell during his year of probation.

Taco Bell is owned by Yum! Brands.

An autopsy conducted Tuesday determined that a San Francisco man was the victim of a homicide Saturday, dying of injuries he suffered when a transient hit him in the head with a boom box, police said.

Chipotle: Delicious food with forethought

i don’t expect to post any freakout videos at this place.

The Chipotle Mexican Grill does not have: table service, an extended menu or, thank heavens, sombrero pictures on its walls. In fact, it doesn’t have much of anything on its walls. Let’s hear it for concrete. Industrial chic — the decor is strictly utilitarian.

But the grill does have: a basically young crowd, fast service, fresh food and a Manifesto.
